Indigo Adults (Adultos Indigo)

The Indigo phenomenon is the next step in human evolution. After World War II, a significant number of Indigo Children were born, and these are the Indigo adults of today. In the 1970s a major wave of Indigos was born, and there is now a generation of Indigos in their late twenties and early thirties who are extremely gifted individuals that will reveal the inner power and divinity of human beings. They function as a group consciousness rather than as individuals and are a powerful force for love and peace on the planet. It is believed that Indigos have been sent here by their own volition to change the planet's thought systems.

The term Indigo was given to describe this type of people because it coincides with the color of their aura and energy patterns. Indigo is the color of the "third eye chakra", which is the energy center inside the head located between the two eyebrows. This chakra regulates the ability to see energy, visions, and spirits. Indigo adults thus have access to the gifts of clairvoyance and healing. This healing may take several forms, from hands on healing to animal and plant healing to healing with music. They are also able to access what may be termed the Fourth and Fifth Dimensions of Consciousness. At the Fourth Dimensional level of Consciousness, humans become aware of the Universal Law of One, which states that we are all connected and that whatever affects one of us affects all of us. Being aware of this, Indigo adults fight for causes that will stop humans from harming others or destroying and polluting their environment.

Indigo adults are highly sensitive and psychic, and have important life purposes. They were put on this earth to disrupt old systems that lack integrity. They are creative and artistically gifted, technologically competent, and adventurous. Indigos respect the talents and abilities of each individual, but these talents do not make anyone greater than anyone else. Indigo children and adults have a strong sense of truth, ethics, justice and freedom, which explains their dislike for authority figures and their tendency to seclude themselves. They often get along better with animals and nature than people. Indigo adults prefer leadership positions or working alone to team positions, they have deep empathy for others, and have a burning desire to do something to change and improve the world.
