Conectivoterapia
Conectivoterapia is a form of manual therapy which resulted from a combination of different techniques originated in Europe in the 19th century. This form of therapy is used to diagnose and treat problems related to the nervous system. Once diagnosis is complete, the procedure consists of “reprogramming” the body’s information at a spinal level through the reflex arc. This arc’s function is to allow information to enter an leave the nervous system. It ensures that the body’s functions are in proper condition. When the arc is imbalanced, problems begin to appear. In this situation, conectivoterapia works to cause a peripheral stimulus in order to obtain a reflex response so that balance may be restored.
This therapy is not only used to treat pathologies, but also discomfort or side effects resulting from accidents or operations. This includes headaches, backaches, poor circulation, menstrual cramps, etc. As with alternative therapies in general, conectivoterapia treats the body as a whole, in order to help the patient begin the healing process that will culminate in the balance of all the body´s systems.
