Biomagnetic therapy is an alternative form of healing first used by the ancient Greeks. The therapy is based on the idea that the outside of a cell has a negative charge and the inside, a positive charge and that this combination of opposite charges allows the cell to function normally. When a part of the body becomes damaged, there is a lack of blood flow which leads to inflammation. This lack of blood flow blocks the body’s natural ability to provide oxygen and nutrients to the injured cells and the cells’ polarity loses its balance. When this happens, biomagnets can be used to help realign the cell’s polarity, and thus help the cell function properly once more. Often, only one or two repeat visits to the biomagnetic therapist’s are needed.
The therapist places magnets on the body to increase blood flow in a specific area, and capillaries then carry increased oxygen and nutrients to the cells, which accelerates the healing process and gives energy boosts. Magnets also help the bones absorb more calcium, and prevent the calcium which is suspended in the blood flow from adhering to areas like finger joints causing swelling and deformations. This is achieved by the magnets raising the pH balance in the body.
With biomagnetic therapy, it is possible to not only reduce inflammation but also relieve pain and discomfort, reduce stress, improve circulation, correct central nervous system disorders, and increase athletic endurance and performance. This form of therapy is also used to minimize the effects of aging, asthma and bronchitis, burns, and other conditions. Magnet therapy is also highly effective in the control and treatment of chronic depression and sleep-related disorders. It also stimulates hair and nail growth and, because increased circulation helps flush out cholesterol, toxins, and other waste products often lodged in the arterial walls, it helps prevent blocked arteries.
