my boyfriend has trouble sleeping, but he refuses to go to the doctor. Are there any natural remedies or therapies he can try? If there’s something he can do by himself, he might do it, but no doctors. He hates them.

I was going to suggest a sleep clinic, where they monitor your sleep to see why it is you have problems, but I don´t think your boyfriend would go for it. How about herbs? If you go to Ombai´s directory, they´ve got a list of different herbs, and there might be something there that could work for insomnia. I´d still go to a herbal therapist, though, to find out the right doses, etc. Also, I think meditation might work. Try meditating together, right before going to sleep. It´s really relaxing.

Valerian root? I've seen it in capsules. Or maybe try homeopathy, but you'd need to see a homeopath for recommendations. I've heard of Coffea used for insomnia.
